What bmx bike size would be good for me?
Oct 19th
I want to ride dirt trails and some street riding. I now have a mountain bike thats around 20 inch top tube and it has 29 inch wheels. I want something a little smaller that i can do tricks with. I’m 15 y/o and 6 foot. Should I get a bmx bike or stick with a mountain bike?
If you will be doing jumps and street, go with a bmx bike. Try to get on a bike with a 21" top tube, and as much chromo as you can afford.

What is a good weight for a bmx bike so I can do good tricks?
Sep 26th
I’m at beginning bmx and I just wanted to know what is a good weight range for a bike to be good for tricks.Like wheelies and manuals and etc.Best answer gets 10 points.
For a beginner 26lbs and lighter is recommendable.
20 – 24 would be ideal (I would save the crazy light stuff for a few years down the road)
You should try to aim for quality parts though.
Say you get a 15lbs bike with plastic, aluminum, and carbon fiber. In this case the bike would be outrageously expensive, and very weak. On the other hand if you go with a 26lbs complete bike, chances are you will be working with something just as weak.
Try as hard as you can to get a bike that has:
Chromo – frame fork bars axles and cranks
Micro drive train – 25 to 9
If you buy a bike that qualifies those specifications, you should be in good shape.
