well i live like 2 miles from my high school
and my parents want me to drive a car but i wanna wait so im gonna buy a bmx bike.i know there like 350 and whatever butwhat i wanna know before i order is

what size bike should i get.it talks about top tube or sumthing.
im 5′10 1/2 and weighh 145

and also
are they fast?
and light?

depends if you want a bmx style bike that is smaller than a normal one or if you want a bike that fits 22 if it fits or a 20 if you wnat a bmx sorta look i ride a 20 i’m about 5.9 i can do double tailwhips cuz its small

I hate the torpedo looking helmets they have for mountain biking. Is the BMX style ok? The half mullet style like you see at the x-games.

Yes it is completely fine, as has been mentioned the reason those "torpedo" style helmets are used is simply because they are more ventalated. In actual fact, the bucket style helmets worn by BMX riders offer a much higher degree of protection because they are A. Harder and designed to take large hits, and B. They cover more area of your head. I have used the bucket style helmets for some time now and find that the difference in how hot my head gets is more effected from how im riding than the helmet im wearing. So if you feel you would rather wear a bucket helmet then feel free to do so, just make sure it fits correctly and all like you would do with any helmet. Good luck bro

can anyone list certain positions to do and positions to avoid?
be it for good posture or posture that will not result in injury….
** this is for a physics project on BMX biking and it is getting really difficult to find this stuff… so like does anyone knw a site where i can get this info…. ?

and also what are some repetitive stress injuries that ocurr w/ bmx biking?

i bmx every day and i seem to usually have sore wrists,ankles,knees,or legs.
usually you get wrists and ankle injurys from stair sets and jumps.
knees and legs hurt if you ride far distances petaling continiously.
