Also, what do you mean by 'function a little better'? Frame size and style, drop out type, frame spacing, wheel size, gear type and number, forks, etc. The easiest way would be to convert it to a single speed by converting to a single chain ring up front and a freewheel at back. However, the rear wheel will need re dishing and unless you have horizontal or semi horizontal rear drop outs you will need a chain tension er. Problem now is that it will probably look like a jump bike.
