Questions commonly come in such as “What I can do, to get better at paintball when I’m not playing”. We also get alot of questions about which is a good workout for paintball, to do at home.

I personally REALLY like Insanity for a paintball home workout. Sure, there are 100,000 other programs out there, personal trainers, gym, yada yada. Personal fitness is YOUR decision, do what works for you. But if you don’t have any sort of plan, I strongly recommend Insanity for a home workout.

It’s VERY lower body focused, lots of jumping, hopping, squats, and it works your legs very much like playing paintball will. I’ve been doing Insanity for about 4 months, 2 to 4 times per week and I love it. I was able to make it to the front at LL4 with no problems at all, I was able to play 20+ games of XBall with the USF team no problem at all, and it’s all due to that workout.

If you REALLY want to get the most from these workouts, I suggest taking the first two weeks and JUST DO THE MEALS. Don’t do the workouts, just focus on the meal plan for two weeks. Learn how to make the food, what to shop for, and get used to the eating routine. The diet is 85% of the success. If you don’t do the diet, yea you’ll be in shape, but you won’t look it. That’s the category I fall into. I can run around all day long, but I look like without my shirt on. The meal plan is the difference between being in shape and looking like you are in shape. Just the meal plan alone, WITHOUT even working out, will cause you to lose weight and feel great. It’s 85% of the program, the workouts are the EASY part compared to the meal program.

But then again, whatever works for you, works for you. If you don’t have a plan and want to be in better shape, I think you’ll find Insanity is worth the $130
