What is the best, lightest bmx bike for just doing tricks around neighborhood?
Sep 13th
I have a pretty good racing bike now but i cant do stuff on that bike that i could do on a true bmx bike… im not looking to ride professonally or anything I just want a good, light bike for riding around the neighborhood. I love the feel of the racing bike, but i want to be able to jumps and stuff also. Any good suggestions?
No bikes these days are heavy. Don’t go below 23 lbs when buying a stock bike. Avoid Wal-Mart bikes, Eastern, Nitrous, Sapient, and Haro.
What is the best paintball gun for beginners?
Sep 11th
I am a new person to the paintball world and i need a paintball gun. I want a kit that comes with a mask, gun, co2 tank, hopper, and vest. Or whatever else you think i need. I will probably most of the time using this in the woods for wars when im not practicing. My price range would be anywhere below 200$. I will be picking best answer. Thanks!!!!
Pick up any of the Tippmann kits. The 98, Alpha Black, A5, or any of the others in the Tippmann line. These will all be mechanical semi-auto at the lower end which is more than enough to start with. I suggest buying a 20oz CO2 tank since most kits come with a 9oz tank or less.
You won’t be getting a vest in a kit. That will be extra. You can pickup a cheap ball carrier at Walmart or Kmart that will be good enough for a while. I used a small ball carrier for a couple years before I moved up to a vest. I keep the small carriers for when I want to play light. With a vest, you can carry up to about half a case of paint. Keep in mind your size and physical abilities when looking at vests. My fully loaded vest with the tank weighs over 15 pounds and the marker can add 2-5 pounds on top of that. At the start of a game you could be carrying up to 25 pounds depending on your choices.
If you are not going to a commercial paintball field, you also need at least a hand held chronograph. All paintball markers should be shooting at 300fps or less. The equipment is not designed to take more than that. Neither is your skin and hands. A chronograph will add another $70-80. Don’t play with anyone unless all markers involved have been chronographed at 300fps or less. This is a very important safety issue. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise.
If you buy good equipment, you can build on it and add to it as you progress. As you learn more about paintball, you’ll get a better idea what you need. You can set yourself up fairly well on a tight budget with some wise choices.

How are paintball guns even remotely accurate?
Aug 26th
I know about rifling(I think I spelled that right) and back in the era of muskets they didn’t have it so it was extremely inaccurate. Paintball guns don’t have rifling either but somehow it is semi accurate. Is it just because there’s not as much force pushing the paintballs out making it more accurate?
You actually are sort-of correct. But it’s not the lack of velocity making it more accurate. It’s the lack of range reducing the overall spread.
Accuracy in projectile weapons is measured in X inches of spread over Y lengths of distance. This makes sense because over long distances even the slightest misalignment will eventually become large enough to notice.
If you were to some how extend the velocity of a paintball round to what a musket was capable of, then you can determine how accurate the paintball is compared to the musket. 16th century muskets were accurate up to 50 yards. Compare this to a paintball marker who’s max range is 60-70 yards by lobbing the shot.
However because of the relatively shorter distances in paintball it appears that the paintball is accurate. The playing fields are usually 150 to 200 ft (Pro leagues are 170-180 ft) long. No way is a paintball gun accurate shooting all the way to the other end of the field. We all know this from experience.
So in short, paintball guns aren’t accurate at all, but because everything is closer, they appear to be so.

How many 20oz CO2 Paintball Tanks can I fill from a 50lb tank?
Jul 25th
I just came across a 50lb CO2 tank i can use for paintball. I wanted to know about how many 20 ounce tanks i could fill from it? Im not new to paintball. I am new to having my own 50lb tank though.
Theoretically, 40 fills, if you do the math. Maybe a little less since you lose some co2 when purging lines between fills.

Why would a paintball arena hire a female who is into fashion design?
Jul 21st
I just had an interview at a paintball arena. I think it is really cool and I have played before, but I find it a bit strange that a place like that would see my resume, with only experience in retail and a coffee shop? Thoughts?
They see it as evidence that you can be responsible and are able to hold a job.
What your past job actually entailed is irrelevant.
