If I want my high school to have a paintball team how should start it?
Mar 30th
My high school has every sport you can imagine…but paintball.
Not to many schools has it on their list of sports around our high school, but I know some schools around the U.S. do!
So how do I do this?
Get a petition and find some sponsors. paintball is extremely expensive in comparison to soccer or baseball. If you get some sponsors then the school might be more considerate to your request. Schools, much like businesses revolve around the almighty dollar. The petition would show the school board of directors that many people support this activity. We all must face reality, in the fact that many people are offended by "guns" and "war games." If the amount of names supporting this endeavor are monumental in comparison to the nay-sayers, then that will give you an edge. After all the school shootings that have occurred lately, there is a lot of fear associated with any sport associated with guns.

What is the best freestyle bmx bike in my price range?
Mar 28th
I’d like to buy a nice freestyle bmx bike for less than $400. It’s for park/street. I don’t really know any good brands either. Please help. I need one soon.
Custom build the strongest lightest bike ever is relatively cheep to any other form of cycling. You can have it your own way, with style, safety, comfort, and dependability.

$1000-2000
So you don’t consider $1000 inexpensive, lets look at some of the less expensive parts from the last set of links, and then cautiously look into completes. Just make sure your getting 100% chromo frames, sealed everything, and a cassette wheel. This is also a good category for thrift. Check out Ebay, Craigslist, and your friends, just make sure you know exactly what you are getting.

$500-1000
Ok, before reading further know you are really pushing it now. BMX bikes under $500 are 1) Ridiculously good deals if you can find a dialed custom bike or 2) Starting to skimp out on some vital aspects of a good quality bike. These bikes will (weigh under 25lb by compromising durability, utilize out dated technology "big sprockets, freewheel, one peace cranks, less than 100% chromo frame or fork", showcase gimmicks and lame decals). With this being said, this is the meat and potatoes of most BMX companies pandering to entry level riders. That is to say that you will find over priced versions of these bikes at most bike shops. You can also find them on line for a lesser price at the first set of web pages, and for unimaginable prices at the last two.
Take a look as this:
http://www.danscomp.com/101682.php?cat=BIKES
Full cromo frame fork and bars. 3pcs crank, cassette wheel, light enough for anyone. Look for anything like this bike and you will be fine
!
Avoid: Mongoose, Huffy, Redline, Mosh, Specialized, KHE, NEXT, TonyHack, GT, Dimondback.
$300-500
WOW… Are you really going to risk life and limb? IS your future looking that bleak or do you lack the fundamental ability to save money through (birthdays, christmass, allowance, pawning, street performing, or some kind of job, bottle and can returning, soul selling). Well sh*t, i totally understand being poor.
Everything i said negatively about the last group is magnified by 10. You will not be able to buy a bike that is remotely respectable for $300 new unless a moron stole it and didn’t know what it was worth. So what are you going to do? Look on Ebay and Craigslist for anything that isn’t one of those bikes i told you to avoid. Second hand is the only way to get anything of fair value at this price. You will have to settle for old equipment but make sure it has the following. (3pc crank, 100% chromo frame and fork, cassette wheel is preferable) everything ells, just suck it up until you can afford better. If you get hook in BMX you will be saving more money to improve what you have the day you purchase this peace of sh*t.
Free-300
If you need something to keep your eye open for on ebay or craigslist here are some Good Brands that include but are not limited too:
Two Hip, DK, Eastern, FBM, RIT, Kink, Macneil, Stolen, Subrosa, Sunday, Verde, Volume, We the people, Metal, Fly, Federal, S&M, Mutiny, Terrible One, Tree, Odyssey, GSPORT.
How can i get money to support my paintball needs?
Mar 28th
I like paintball but its expensive. Im 13 and cant get a job. I realy like paintball so what can i do to get money for paintball?
The first thing you should try to do is minimize your spending when you do go paintballing. For instance, if you don’t have a gun and other necessary equipment (i.e. mask, air tank) and you plan on going quite frequently I would recommend doing so (I would also recommend the Tippmann A5 because it is accurate, long ranged, and very durable, lasting almost 15 years)… Also, check out your local paintball fields’ website and find out about special deals, such as $5 Fridays where every thing costs $5 (Entrance, All Day Air, Paint)
As far as making money, I have seen 10 year olds working at paintball fields… not only does this make you cash, but you get your name around at the local field and people start to recognize and respect you… Good Luck!

Gatling Paintball Gun
Mar 28th
Senior Design Project for a group of mechanical engineering students.
This video has gotten a lot of negative criticism from people that think they know what they’re talking about and I have some things to say about that.
Guess what: everyone in the group got an A for the project work.
Here’s why: No matter what you think you know about paintball, you probably don’t know anything about actually building a paintball gun, let alone a GATLING paintball gun. Furthermore we were building one under the following conditions:
A.)Limited time: We had a little less than four months (the semester began in January and ended at the beginning of May) to design, manufacture, build, and troubleshoot a rather complex device. Most companies don’t even do that in a 1.5 years, let alone less than four months.
B.)Limited funds: This point isn’t as important as the other conditions, but it isn’t like we had the backing of a multi-million dollar company. In fact, we had less money than most people spend on their guns.
C.)Custom parts: Nearly everything on that gun was custom made. We couldn’t just go out and buy the parts we needed.
D.)Experience: this and point A. probably had the most influence on our project. Just imagine designing, building, and troubleshooting something like this AND it’s your first time doing any such thing. We were college students with more or less no experience doing anything of this sort.
Furthermore, to add to point D., of six people on the team, only one had ever played paintball (me) or handled a paintball gun.
If you think about all these things for a minute, you’ll probably realize that we did well (we got A’s after all). I could certainly be wrong but I think someone familiar with the design of paintball guns (who actually works for a company like AGD) would probably be reasonably impressed given the conditions we were working in.
